Got a ton of stuff done in the Miata tonight, the most obnoxious of which was the installation of a 12v socket in my armrest center console.

Kinja'd!!!

You can’t see it, but it’s glowing in this picture. Wired up to the same circuit as the instrument cluster backlights.

So nice.

I also replaced the pitiful footwell lighting with some ‘Warm White’ festoon LEDs from SuperBrightLEDs

Kinja'd!!!

LED on left, old nastiness on the right.

Kinja'd!!!

SCCA happened. This has to be worth one second on the track, right?

I also got my ugly discolored white-ish-blue-ish-brown-ish washer fluid resivoir painted the same color as my wheels and front lip and installed back where it belongs. Now I just need to actually get a working nozzle.

I had to put new washer nozzles in the CRX, it was like a $1 part from one of the many Honda parts websites, I’m sure you can find one for the Miata. Just needed the nozzles and some tubing from Autozone.

why didn’t you plug it with the 12 acc fuse. If you dim your dash lights, you no longer got 12 v going to your plug, and if you try to plug anything other than a phone charger, you will be blowing fuses.

The lighter is on the 12v acc circuit. The light for the lighter socket is on a dimmable dash circuit.
